Kaitlyn believes that centering a plan based on empowering a patient’s voice and clinical best-practice is what truly helps people return to doing what they love. She takes an active approach to treatment and rehabilitation. Kaitlyn knows that helping someone navigate their pain requires a bio-psycho-social model of care and is committed to continuing to help evolve and improve pain management in Nova Scotia.
Kaitlyn has studied extensively in the fields of science and health. After she finished her Bachelor of Science in Biology/Neuroscience at the University of Maine, Kaitlyn completed her Master’s in Physiotherapy and her Master of Science in Pharmacology, both at Dalhousie University.
Kaitlyn is currently the community director of Project Next Mile, a local, non-profit organization that blends patient care and sport in resource-scarce areas. She has assisted in providing team-based best-practice clinical care and also developed a community program promoting the importance of female involvement in sport in St. Lucia in the Eastern Caribbean.
