Jamie Turnbull has worked as a physiotherapist since 2002. Before completing his physiotherapy degree at Dalhousie University, he studied Biology and Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University. Jamie’s treatment approach has been influenced by working in multidisciplinary settings in Toronto and Halifax, combined with international work experience at various physiotherapy settings in the Netherlands and Australia.

His interests lie in orthopedics, neuropathic conditions, persistent pain conditions, vestibular dysfunctions, and strength training. Jamie understands that to effectively manage any condition, collaboration between the client and physiotherapist is fundamental. Sharing your specific goals and expectations of physiotherapy at the initial visit will allow him to personalize his treatment approach to best suit your individual needs. With a one on one treatment approach, you will have his full undivided attention each treatment session. His treatment techniques vary based on the condition but may include: manual therapy, Mulligan Technique, McKenzie Method, somatic exercises, functional dry needling, neural tissue mobilization, vestibular techniques, and progressive resistance training.

Jamie believes knowledge is empowering. He will try his best to help you understand what your body is trying to tell you and how it reacts to the various things we do. His aim is to leave you feeling confident in self management of your symptoms as well as knowing how to further prevent injury.
